Re:      MANDATORY RECERTIFICATION CLINICS FOR REFEREES PLANNING   TO OFFICIATE IN 2006.

The following are dates and times for all referees Grades 7, 8., 15, or 16 planning to recertify for next season.  You must attend one of the clinics below in order to continue refereeing next year.  Referees are required to attend “5” hours of instruction.  In addition, officials must take a test and do assorted paperwork to complete the registration process for 2006.  (Please bring a pen or pencil.)  Therefore, most clinics will meet a total of approximately “6” hours, including a lunch break.  Referees must attend the entire clinic in order to recertify.  These are the only classes currently planned.

The registration fee is “$35.”  Please bring a check payable to the “MICHIGAN REFEREE COMMITTEE” for that amount, as well as, your pre-printed registration form from US SOCCER.  Complete the game count portion of your registration form with an accurate game count for the matches you have officiated during both seasons in 2006.  (Remember:  You may not include: High School, College, Indoor, or AYSO games!)  If you do not bring your pre-printed form with your registration number, you will be charged an additional $5 fee for processing.

You must attend an entire clinic in order to recertify.  Please do not plan to only take the test without the class.  If you cannot attend the entire clinic; do not bother to attend.  It is important that we all remain current in our soccer knowledge and maintain our consistency.

METRO-EAST AREA

There are no further recertification clinics planned in Metro East for 2006.
